Org Setup and Global UI – Admin Certification Imp Points to remember

This post provides useful points about Org setup and Global UI important points to remember while you are taking Salesforce admin certification.

Total weighting percentage of this section (Org setup and Global UI) is 3% in the admin certification exam.

Company Information:
Company Information displays Organization details (like name, primary contact, Org time zone, Org ID, etc.), User Licences, Permission Set licenses, Feature licenses, and User-based Entitlements

Multiple Currencies:
– Enable ‘Activate Multiple Currencies’ checkbox in the company information page to activate multiple currencies in your Salesforce. Earlier we had to contact Salesforce support, but we can enable multiple currencies now.

– It is not possible to revert to single currency once we enable multiple currencies.

Fiscal Years:
It cannot be reverted to a Standard Fiscal Year; Once a Custom Fiscal Year has been set for your Organization.

Home Page Layout:
On the Salesforce homepage layout, you can add components (items to display) in Narrow (left) column or Wide(right) column.

You can add below Salesforce standard components to the page layout, and you can also create custom homepage components.
